The idea of bikes or pedal cars in the Pinco Gardens sounds appealing but exactly how do I find them in what I imagine is a big public garden? I know that the Pinco Gardens are above the Piazza del Popolo (spelling?).I'm thinking of taking a taxi from the Vatican to The Pinci. can anyone help me pinpoint where the electric bikes or pedal cars are so I can use my time most efficiently? If I came from the Piazza up the steps are they close by ? Or should I have a taxi drop us off at another spot? I imagine the gardens are large and am trying to avoid too much wandering, as we'll probably arrive around 4:00 p.m. Thanks.

Unless you want a hike, do not go up by the Spanish Steps. The easiest way is to take the 116 electric bus. It takes you THRU the Gardens all the way to the Galleria . Get off at the "top" of the hill, you will see not only the surrys and bikes but also golf carts. For a map of the 116, go to ATAC.it and click on Linee Eletriche.
The 116 starts close to the Basillica and winds its' way thru Rome. Depending on the time of day it can take as little a 25 min. up to 45min
You can also walk up the Via Veneto to the Borghese gardens. You'll find several different places you can rent bikes. There is one close to the entrance of the gallery. donna
