EWR to FCO

Arrived in Rome today. Easy peasy to get here on United from Newark. I had uploaded our passenger locator forms on the United website, Travel Ready Center. Also, had checked off that we were fully vaccinated on the website. I scanned our passports at the airport at the check-in kiosk. Since I had already uploaded our PLF our boarding passes were marked “travel ready.” Those who had not done this had to stand in line to check in with an agent and show their PLF. Upon arrival at FCO, no evidence of any random COVID testing. No one asked at either EWR or FCO for our CDC vaccination cards.

Just to confirm - you did not get a test prior to flight and UA staff did not ask about it?
Leaving for Italy on the 25th and UA Travel Ready section still calls out for test.
Thx.

That’s correct, no COVID test to enter Italy. I’ll send an update at the end of the trip about getting back to the US.

Thank you! How close to the flight did you have to upload the PLF? I thought it could be done anytime but have since read it could only be uploaded within 48 hours of the flight.

Thanks so much for this info.

I filled out the PLF a few weeks before our trip but wasn’t able to upload to United until 72 hours before our departure time.

Thank you Betsey for the update. I take that same flight Monday. I hope ours go just as smoothly. Jim
