Is this really necessary? Just heard about it. What’s up?
Yes it is. My flight is this week and it says you must have it and the QR code to scan or they won't let you on board the plane. Whether they end up checking it or not, don't /not/ do it.
It's really easy to fill out though. If you have your plane tickets and your hotel information then that's it you have what you need.
Yes. It’s not really hard to figure out. A couple tips, as this part is confusing and doesn’t do a good mile of explaining, at least to me.
Your departure city is not necessary your home. It’s the city/airport your plane leaves the U.S. fir me that’s JFK.
- You only need to put in your first hotel or accommodations where you are staying.
Coming back to add that Air France just emailed to ask for me to upload the PLF so they could verify me and so yes they will make sure you have it.
Its for contact tracing, in case someone who was on the flight gets ill, they want to check on the other passengers.
Yes, the PLF is obligatory for all EU countries. You can probably find a link to it on you airline website.
I have heard…through the grapevine…that it will probably be “ditched” on May 1st…but that has not been made official. Tip: Be careful about stuff that “auto fills”! Not always correct!
Apparently now official: PLF no longer required if you land in Italy after May 1, 2022:
