Would like to plan a family trip to Europe next June. My family of 4, includ. 2 girls ages 13 & 15, would neet my dad(85 years old) and his wife in Munich for a few days. He then wants to travel with us to Venice for a few days and then we (the 4 of us) would go on from there. We are pretty low key travelers, we like the water and local culture, and with teenagers, I can't imagine spending alot of time in big cities and museums. My husband thought we could go somewhere else in Italy (or 2 places) or go to Greece but that might be too far away? Then home. We're probably talking about being gone between 2 and 3 weeks. Any thoughts would be really helpful!!!!!!!
You can't go to Italy and miss the historic sights. Teenagers will be fine in Rome, Florence, Venice. Italy is very safe and if they are street smart, they can go out on their own. Don't miss the big cities and museums as they are worth the time!!! Have fun!
ROME and Sorrento with Capri, Popeii, Amalfi etc.
