Europass or Single Tickets?

My boyfriend and I are traveling to Rome & Venice September 19-28th. We will be taking the train from airport to Rome, a roundtrip to Pompeii and back to Rome, a train to Venice and roundtrip to Verona & back to Venice and then the train to the Airport in Venice to fly home.

Is the saver Europass for two adults the best option for 4-5 days in two months or single tickets?

Any opinions/help is very much appreciated!! ;)

comes up almost daily in this forum; you can peruse or search to find posts about this. The upshot is that point-to-point is best. BTW I hope you know you can't take the train to Pompeii; closest you get is Naples, then you take a private train line the rest of the way.

For the sake of clarity, you should know that it is possible to take Trenitalia trains from Rome to Pompeii, but the schedule is limited and the Trenitalia station is not very close to the ruins.

Take a Trenitalia train from Rome to Napoli Centrale. Go to the lower level of the station and take a Circumvesuviana commuter train from there to Pompeii Scavi which is a very short walk from the ruins.

Thank you all for your help. I did know that that it was a different train line to Pompeii and that I had to buy a seperate train ticket.

I will take all of your responses and I will also search throughout the forum to see the others...

Thank you!! ;)

When I was a vagabond backpacker and was going to a new city every three days over a period of a month, a pass made sense. But for a few trips in a shorter time period, I think the numbers add up better to just go point to point.
