Eurocup watch party

Hello, we will be in Italy this June (5 adults) and in Florence on Sat June 15 when Italy plays Albania at 2100 in the Eurocup. My husband is a big soccer fan and I would love to watch the game in a country with so much passion for the sport! I’m sure the Italians will be gathered to watch their team, but I can’t seem to find where by googling in English. Does anyone know where or how we can find a good way to watch the game and cheer on Italy with the Italians? Thank you!

I think it's more a case of anywhere with a TV will be showing the game. I don't think it's going to be necessary to Google anything if you're in Florence.

On TV in a bar. But I was in Lyon, France during Euro 2016, and there was a rally and big screen in the center of town erected as France was in the final game and lost to Portugal.

You will find bars with tvs all over the place playing the game. It really is fun to be part of it

Eurocup is a basketball tournament so it's possible that that is the reason for a lack of search results. The football tournament is simply referred to as the Euros or officially the UEFA European Football Championship.

Any bar with a TV will be showing it.

Yes it’ll be called Euro 24 or just simply the Euros.

As others have said it will be on everywhere that has a TV. Italians love football.

Yes the football cup is known as the Euros. Football/soccer is the main sport in all of Europe so the name of the sport is never needed! Simply the World Cup or the Euros and everyone knows what you mean.

Every pub will broadcast the game. They also set up a maxi screen somewhere, sometimes on Piazza della Repubblica or the Artemio Franchi Stadium (where Fiorentina plays).

This Eurocup she is referring to is soccer/football

I know what she's referring to but it's not known as Eurocup. Eurocup is a basketball competition. If the OP is searching for places to watch the Euros and is using the term Eurocup then it's probably the reason for a lack of search results, basketball just isn't that popular in Europe, it's a niche sport. It's unlikely that you'll walk into a bar and see basketball on the TV.

Thank you for the maxi screen locations, this is what I was looking for. We may still just hang in a bar, but I wanted to know the options. And thanks for the clarification to just call it the Euros, I was getting unwanted basketball results when searching Eurocup

If Italy gets eliminated early in the group stage they won’t set up maxi screens anywhere. But bars will have it on TV.

Irish pubs will have the game on. There are Irish pubs everywhere nowadays.

You hardly have to go to an Irish pub to see football in Italy....

No, but you can have a pint of Guinness while watching the game. A better drink than most of the wines you'll sample.
