EU DPLF form- Seat Selection

Filing in the EU DPLF Form. It asks for seat selection. In the manual it states you can put in XXX if you don't have seat selection right now and go back later to update. Has anyone gone back in and updated the seat selection? what happened- did it give you a whole new confirmation. Worried that if I go back in and update it once I check in to my flight (its not time too yet) I will have to reprint it all. I am hoping to fill this in and print it all off now and not have to worry about it again later.

Yep the update is instant. It comes in a PDF email where you can open it on your phone. I print mine out at my local public library. No one asked to see it. I even changed the hotel info during the trip and just saved the update on my phone using hotel internet
