Someone in my travel group sent me a link for "EU Digital Passenger Locator Form" ( https://app.euplf.eu/#/ )
Is this required? We are only traveling in ITALY.
Thx in advance.
Jane
Italy was one of the few European countries that was requiring this form, but I don't know if they are anymore.
Italy still requires I believe. I’ve filled it out. It’s not difficult if you have a few tips. 1) departure city is the city where you are actually leaving the U.S. (not your home town if you are connecting), Fir instance I’m flying from Indiana to JFK, then Milan. JFK is my departure airport. 2) only list your first hotel or where you are staying. 3) you don’t have to put your passport info. That’s optional.
Do you need 1 form per family
Yup. As of March 19, it was required for our stopover in London and our destination (Italy).
THANK YOU!
I have completed this so I will be prepared for my travel.
Do you have to put return trip, I'm leaving from Naples, then to Heathrow, and then to the US.
I hate this form. I need to step away till morning. Thanks for any help.
Feeling stupid
Craig it is no longer required as of Sunday May 1, if you leave on or after that date.
Thanks, I was determined to get it finished, so I did. I won't mess with getting my wife's done then. Leaving May 6th for Southern Italy, been waiting for 2 years, like a lot of folks.
Someone just posted that on another thread Trip Advisor announced that the PLF will no longer be required to enter. Can anyone confirm this?
Pjmun, we got an email from EasyJet yesterday about our upcoming flight from France to Italy which did not mention needing a PLF.
Also, apropos of an earlier comment on this thread, the form I downloaded a couple of weeks ago for Italy seemed to require a separate form for each person, not one per family, as the French form did.
Roberto, thank you. We're already in Europe, and I needed a PLF for France, but we're not entering Italy until May 13.
Could someone post the official link which says that the Passenger Locator Form is no longer required if traveling to Italy?
Don’t have official link handy but if you use this tool you will send it says PLF needed only through April 30
The airline told us it was required for our entry into France middle of last week, but we were never asked to show it to anyone. We leave for Italy in a few days, and I have not had any communication from the train company whether we need it for entry into Italy. We did it, so have the QR code, but somehow I doubt we will be asked for it.
Ecetera, we had to show our PLF for France before we could board our plane out of Tulsa last week. We didn't need the one for Italy then, because that flight was booked separately.
We already filled it out and Delta hasn’t changed their web pages yet to coincide with this change. Until they do, I’m just taking it.
Looks like it's no longer required as of today, May 1st...
29 aprile 2022 Covid-19, Minister Speranza signs ordinances on masks and foreign travel
"Health Minister Roberto Speranza signed the order for the extension to 31 May of the provisions for arrivals from foreign countries. The novelty concerns the passenger locator form, which from 1 May will no longer be necessary. The document was introduced in the summer of 2021 to regulate departures and contained all the information necessary to locate the traveler in the event of any contagion from Covid during the journey."
The full text of the latest decree is online, but you need to translate it (note that FFp2 mask regulations remain in place)...
It is no longer required. Called United today to confirm.
