Hi We will be traveling to Italy in September,2022. How long in advance should I submit the EU Digital Locator form? Thanks, Doreen

I would definitely wait.

  1. They may drop the requirement.
  2. You need to know where you are staying and flight and seat numbers for the plane. Between now and then, your flight will likely change a couple times.

Basically, you can safely fill it out the week before you leave, after you check-in for the flight if you won't know seat numbers before them. The process is automatic, submit it, and shortly you receive the confirmation.
