What are the best etruscan ruins and museums in central Italy?
These are the prior discussions had on this forum about Etruscan ruins and museums--most of these pertain to central Italy, as your question asked (depending on how you define central Italy)

There's also the National Etruscan Museum in Rome, I'd consider Rome in central Italy.
Volterra has a very good etruscan museum and some etruscan ruins. The museum in Chiusi is also good, but smaller. The Chiusi museum offers tours of etruscan tombs (car needed), and there are a couple of underground etruscan tours close to the museum.
We enjoyed our visit to see some of the best Etruscan tombs as well as the museum at Tarquinia, Northern Lazio.

There is also a magnificent example of an Etruscan city gate in Perugia. Also a big Etruscan well which you can go down.
In the city of Cerveteri there is an Etruscan museum and a fascinating necropolis. I was there many years ago when we rented a house near Viterbo and it was the best day of that vacation.
I loved the Etruscan Museum in Cortona. It only takes about an hour or so to go through, but has an amazing collection of pottery, artwork and jewelry.
