I’m staying in Ercolano and want to go to Pompeii tomorrow. I’m thinking of taking the train instead of driving, but first I’d like to confirm a few details. If you’ve done this trip recently, I thank you for your advice.
I have a general sense of where the train station is In Ercolano. (I can easily walk to it.) I’m not sure about Pompeii. I want to visit the ruins. Is there only one train station in Pompeii, and how far is it from an entrance to the ruins?
Should I buy my tickets online or get them at the train station? Treinitalia seems okay to navigate. If I get tickets at the station, will there probably be an agent who speaks English?
Am I forgetting anything?
