First question-can you do the two museums (Enzo Ferrari and. Ferrari museum) in one day..plus the factory tours? Trying to see if we. should plan one day for Modena. and. Maranello or. two. Also, what is. the. best website to order. tickets? thanks you! Grazie!
It is possible. Be sure you get the bus schedule to Maranello if you are not renting a car. If I recall correctly, you can find factory tour info on their website.
My husband and I will be there in March and plan to do both museums in 1 day (his birthday!) The Ferrari website sells tickets and packages for both museums, including the Panorama Tour (drive by the track and factory): https://www.ferrari.com/en-US/museums/ferrari-museums-visit-tickets-packages
Actual tours inside the factory are limited to F1 clients and sponsors, according to the website. The Panorama Tour is offered twice a day and takes 45 minutes. I booked a drive on the track for his birthday gift through Motorsport Maranello, and was told an hour for each museum and 20 minutes to drive between them was sufficient to plan. I blocked 5 hours for the museums and lunch.
If we had more than one day I would have loved to also go to the Lambourghini and Maserati museums, but we'll just have to add that to the list for the next time!
Absolutely plan two days in Modena. It’s a very under rated city that’s so easy to enjoy. I would highly recommend adding the Lamborghini Factory tour and the Panini Museum. It is incredible and so intimate. It encompasses not only Maseratis but many others too including early Lamborghini tractors and such.
ah - the "Music" made me look
can't help with the other questions
The visits of both museums and Factory Official tour are doable in a day, mainly if you have your own car to reach Maranello. There is a shuttle who connect Ferrari museum to Modena, but only few times a day, so is a little more tricky: https://www.vivaraviaggi.it/happy_circle.php?happy_circle=6 .
If you move by car adding another place (Lamborghini museums or other) is doable too. Is right calculate 1 hour in each museum and 1 hour for the Factory tour. Between the 2 museums is better calculate not less than 30 minutes, depending by the traffic.
Visit the city of Modena is a good idea, not only for food and art lovers, but even for Ferrari lover. In the downtown and around the city has been shoot the new movie by Michael Mann last Summer (will be presented next Autumn, as far as I know), so you can visit the places you will find in the movie.
About music, for Ferrari the most iconic is the sound of the V12! But I like to remember that between Modena and Maranello there is the house/museum of Luciano Pavarotti, the great Tenor! And do you know this little company: https://ixoost.it/ ? They make sound systems using parts from Lamborghini cars.
Didn't know about https://ixoost.it/en/ !! How cool is that ! Are they open to tours?
@ toebiz
They had a showroom near the Panini car's collection (old Maserati cars) but i don't know if is still present because there are great changes there. In any case are located in Modena, so you can write them and ask if you can visit the production.
