Hi jr,

While I've never eaten there, here is the Trip Advisor link with photos and the good and bad reviews. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187791-d1024856-Reviews-Enoteca_Corsi-Rome_Lazio.html

Seems like those who took the time to give a review were pretty satisfied. The restaurant has about a "4" rating.

Thing is, as the saying goes...you can't please everyone all of the time...

For instance, one restaurant may make Cacio e Pepe with a bit more pepper while another may add a bit more cheese to it. Probably still, both would be good dishes, but depends on who the chef is, I guess.

There are tons and tons of restaurants in Rome that can offer a very good to excellent dining experience without breaking the bank. Sometimes those little hole-in-the-wall ones or ones that are off the beaten touristy path are little (un)discovered gems.

You may find that restaurants that border the major attractions and Piazzas may get you high prices and perhaps a mediocre plate. I'm not suggesting that all will be like that. But from reading here and there, it seems to be the norm within the height of busy travel seasons, time of day, staffing moods, lol.

Ask your hotel or wherever you are staying for some "good local" suggestions - ones they would go to. Sometimes a restaurant has a deal with a hotel or B&B to refer customers over - this can be good or bad --- good if the place is frequented by more locals than tourists, prices are very reasonable, maybe offer a little discount if mention of the hotel.

Starting from the photos on the link above, I'd go straight for those thin chips of fried zucchini - the only other place I've found that style was at Harry's Bar in Venice (for a premium price). Most Italian restaurants don't post prices online, if they have menus there at all, so the TripAdvisor photos might also provide that. Menus with prices will be posted outside all restaurants before you walk in.

Y’all are awesome! Thank you so much.
I picked this restaurant bc of Rick Steves suggestion.
I read TA reviews as well. You are correct about being able to always please people.

You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”.
🤪😜🤣😂

Ahh well, lol. Here is a challenge. Try saying that after you've had Italian vino and limoncello as a digestivo -an alcoholic drink served after dinner to help with digestion. (Some restaurants may offer a small glass complimentary)

Here is a link of some popular ones if you'd like to read it. https://www.italiarail.com/food/unwind-after-dinner-italian-digestif

When my friends and family went to Rome in June 2018, we went to this restaurant twice. The first time was my husband and I went for lunch. The food was delicious and the owner was so nice. I ordered some wine with my risotto and couldn’t decide, so he brought me both choices and only charged me for one. We loved it so much we brought the entire group (6 of us for dinner). Even two years later, my husband still talks about the Rooster. The pasta here is excellent as is the steak. While I can’t remember the prices for the meal, I do remember thinking it was a good value. They have an excellent wine selection at reasonable prices. Even though it is around the corner from the Pantheon, it feels like a neighborhood restaurant.

I would definitely go back next time I am in Rome.
