Emilia Romagna with a car

Hi, all! First, I must say this forum is so lovely! Supportive and nice. Thanks for being you!

My hubs and I will be in Emilia Romagna for several days next month with a convertible to sport around the area. We have already been to Bologna on a previous trip, and will be staying three nights in Modena as our base.

Instead of visiting another lovely town (I was considering Parma), I think I am eager to explore the small towns and villages in this beautiful area.

Our best travel has been to small villages with glorious views, cobble stones and hopefully some delicious food and beverage to bump in to.

Any recommendations?
On the day in question, we will be starting in Maranello for the car fan in the family 😉

Thanks!!
Abby

Thank you, Lola! Looks beautiful! I am curious about the ER region near the beach and east coast, but am not eager for a total of 4 hours driving from Modena. Anything closer?

Check out Castelvetro (lambrusco and balsamico), Vignola (cherries), Levizzano... All quite near Maranello. Castelvetro has a giant chessboard in the square. Beautiful views all around. These are small towns and are all beautiful.
