emilia romagna

we are heading to borzano on the 17th of June. We also have a reservation in Perugia. Is it a good idea now to go to Emilia Romagna,, does anyone have any suggestions. Or should we change our travel plans and go to Perugia. Haven't seen an updated thread on the region other than in Bologna. Many thanks

That is up to you? If you'd like to go, then it's a good idea to go. Where exactly would you like to visit? It's a big region, the size of New Hampshire.

Thank you for your reply but we are concerned about the recent flooding in the region. We plan to be near Parma. We just wanted an update on that region and Bologna.

We were in both Bologna and Parma in the last three weeks. All is fine, enjoy. The highpoint of the area for us was an Ebike tour we did in Parma of a Parmesano Reggiano producer. Bike Food Stories, it was awesome. Davide was a great guide, very low-key.

The flood was a month ago and affected the Romagna side of Emilia-Romagna (Romagna is the Eastern portion of the region closer to the Adriatic Sea historically inhabited by the Romans and part of the Roman Papal State until a couple centuries ago, hence the name),

The provinces of Romagna are Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena, Rimini, all of which were affected by the floods, but waters have long receded, although they are probably still cleaning up some mud from some streets.

All other provinces of the region were largely unaffected by the floods.
