That is a phishing spam email. Just delete it from your computer.

Did you book a Colosseum tour, like this one including the Belvedere?

If you don't remember booking, then it could be a phishing scam. Don't click through it or provide any credit card details without being sure. Or perhaps a site sent the same message to all recent customers, not just those who did book the Belvedere.

If you open the Coop culture link, it says right on the page that from April 10 to 31 May, " visits to the Fourth and Fifth Orders will not be allowed."

So it appears the email could be legit, not phishing. if you have any kind of colosseum visit booked, this may apply to you. You need to review your booking confirmation.

love4monsters, you had some questions about booking Colosseum tours back in February and were interested in a tour which included the"arena and colosseum levels plus panoramic"? The "panoramic" area is the Belvedere. If you booked a tour of that then your email is probably not spam. This from the "News" section of the coopculture website:

Those two "orders" (tiers) are on the Belvedere/Panoramic levels. This must be a very new development and it'll be interesting to see if we hear from others who've had their tours cancelled.

Just FYI that I'm seeing some chat over on TripAdvisor about cancelled Belvedere/Panoramic tours. It appears that combined tours of the Underground, Belvedere and arena floor are still on but without the 4th/5th Belvedere tiers.

Belvedere tours for today and tomorrow were also cancelled.

Thanks everyone! I did book the panoramic tour with the arena and undergrounds. I found the email and printed confirmation at home.

lovemonster, so did they offer you a refund amount for the cancelled Belvedere part of your tour? If so, how much? This is sort of a developing situation and it would be great to have as much firsthand intelligence as possible!

They are offering a full refund via email but partial for the Belvedere cost difference but we have to request while in Rome. Not thrilled but it is what it it. Worst case is I dispute with the credit card when home because I am not standing in line for a long time. Not letting it spoil anything and soon to be 12 year old packed already.

I am assuming the refund is 6 euros per adult price - 3 of us. Part of me doesn't want to fuss with it but the part of me who really wanted the pano does. Ha!
