if you can't easily find one, it's likely they don't have one- many convents/monasteries communicate via fax and/or phone calls (only);

if Rick didn't give one, it is very unlikely they have one. faxes do work (generally)-

the protestant (can't remember the name) hotel/retreat over the on Oltarno does have web access, and it is a nice place to stay (a little austere, a little out of the way).

Tony and Norm, thanks for your replies. I did eventually receive an email reply to the fax I sent to the convent. This is the email address from Sr.Teresa from the Suor Oblate Borgo Pinti : sroblateborgopinti@virgilio.it. Unfortunately for me, there was no room at the inn!
