Has anyone stayed in Elisabetto's Villino Azzuro in Vernazza? Rick Steves says it is a "ramshackle" and I'm wondering exactly what that looks like. I've emailed with them and they have a small room with a private bath with a small balcony and view in room #9. Can anyone tell me more about this?

If it is the same place you are looking at,I have not stayed here yet, but we have reserved a room here for the first part of September. I'm not sure when you are traveling but I can let you know when we return if we thought it was ok. I booked it back in April because nothing else we looked at that had a balcony or near the beach was available. We are going for a few days to de-jetlag, hike a little, and kick back before traveling around the rest of Italy, so we are not too worried about how fancy the room is. If you are going sooner and stay here, let us know if we should look elsewhere.
