Electrical in Italy, especially USB devices

I will be traveling without a computer but will have an iPod, cell phone, and GPS unit to be charged. What is easiest way to charge? Can I purchase a USB in wall adaptor, or should I get an Italian plug to convert existing USB adaptors?

Assuming that all of your devises will accept a 220V input, easiest thing is to get a plug adapter, get two in case you leave one behind. And plug in directly.

Or get a USB dual voltage AC wall charger and an Italian plug adapter. Both together should cost you less than $5.

Plug adapters are cheap. You can buy them on this website for $1 each. I would buy at least 2.

Thanks to all. This should keep my communication devices operating.

Glenn, You might have a look at This device in the Travel Store. It not only provides the functions of a Plug Adapter, but also provides one USB port for charging electronics. As of today, it's "on sale" as well (perhaps buy two)! Happy travels!

Glenn, One more suggestion for you to consider. Have a look at This Product which charges up to six devices simultaneously. I've been using one for a few years to charge a variety of USB devices and it's been a fantastic travel accessory! Of course, you'll still need an inexpensive Plug Adapter to connect this in Italy (I'd suggest taking two Plug Adapters, as they're cheap and it's always good to have a "spare"). Cheers!
