Electrical converter/adapter in Italy

We are headed to Italy and want to bring cell charger and other elect stuff. Ricks universal adapter says be sure to bring a converter if your appliance does not have internal 110/220 converter. Do I need anything more than ricks adapter in Italy?

Check the specs on your devices. If it says something like "AC Input 110v-240v" then it can handle all voltages worldwide......no converter needed just the adapter plug that Rick sells.

jim, As the previous reply mentioned, you will need to check the "Input Voltage" ratings on EACH device that you'll be travelling with. If these state "Input 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz", then all you'll need is inexpensive Plug Adapters. Italy uses the "D" model Adapter shown on this page (for ungrounded appliances). The "Grounded" model is shown lower down on the page. What other "elect stuff" are you planning to travel with??? Also, which Cellular network are you with? Your U.S.-based Cellphone may or may not work in Europe. Cheers!

Good advice so far. If you are staying in small, ancient, family-run B&Bs, don't use a power strip! You can bring down the whole building's electricity. I use Rick's adapter plugs and plug in no more than one electronic device per day in the old buildings, which I realize have only one or two outlets for a reason. (I was in the B&B that I mentioned, but I was not the one who blew the lights out.)

It's worth noting that Amazon sells specific "Italy" converters for the plug pins. As we're living in Italy but also visiting France and such, I bought the "Pan-europe but not Italy and UK" ones AND the Italy ones. Whilst not exactly the same, they all fit in each country without my family realizing they were using the "wrong" country adapter. As was already said, check the device for the 240 / 110 V symbol. If it's on the charger, the device will work. We have netbooks, laptops and kindles all working just fine.
