EES Entry process into Italy

Hello,
May I assume that once you go thru it, and then set up in the system(?), other security/customs encounters go quickly? Thank you.

Unfortunatly no, that has not been my experinece so far.

i went through EES in March in Madrid. I just got back this past weekend from Copenhagen. Entry at passport control took 45 minutes and my exit took just under an hour.

I went through EES in Amsterdam 3 weeks ago, very easy process entering. Exited via (Paris) CDG last week, gave myself four hours at the airport and I’m glad I did. The machines on exit had to be rebooted several times. There was a long lineup. They kept asking if people were making certain flights and pulling them from the line and doing manual checks for them. Definitely build in the time so you don’t feel stressed.

The entire EES process is like rolling dice. It may turn up positive or it may not. At this point there is no way to predict accurately what your experience will be like.
