Heading back on the 1st of the year, seeing the eastern half this time. Can anyone recomend any restaurants in Messina, Catania, Taormina, Siracusa and maybe Cefalu? Something moderatly priced, good food etc. Also any certain dishes or foods from each place. Thanks

Ron, we had pretty good luck using the reccomendations in the Trip Advisor guide book. In Taormina we just wandered the streets at least one block off the main drag (Corso Umberto) and found some great lo-cost places. In Sirracusa we stayed at a good agritourisimo just outside of town that served wonderful home cooked dinners; Il Limoneto. You can also check out some of the recomended places in Trip Advisor, and make note of them.
