Eating Italy or The Roman/Tour Guy Trastevere Food Tour?

Before you quickly say Eating Italy/Europe, the night I have available is the night before my early morning Vatican Museum tour. The earliest Eating Europe time is 5:45PM and is 4 hours. The earliest Tour Guy tour is 5:30 and is only 3 hours. The day I'm going is 5 Oct.

So, do I do the more recommended tour with Eating Europe and just siesta the next day after the Vatican, or go a few minutes early but get an extra hour of sleep? I'm staying in Trastevere so it won't take long to get home.

I can only speak for the Tour Guy Trastevere eating tour. We did it this June. It was fabulous! Our guide was very personable and knowledgeable. And the food was wonderful!

We did the Eating Italy Trastevere Tour and it was excellent. It was a late night and we walked a long ways. It was a trek back to our hotel, which was in Trastevere, from where the tour ended. However, it was a ton of fun! We don't like tours very much but would definitely do this one again. We did the Vatican the next day but I'm not sure we'd have made it to an early tour. I'd nap before the food tour and after the Vatican.

You can sleep at home! Do the Eating Italy and you will be fine.

Letizia, so true!!! People don't understand why I'm always so tired after vacation. To me, it's no fun to sit around and do nothing!

Thank you for the advice! I ended up booking the Eating Europe tour and I messaged them that if they had a cancellation or no show, that I'd be available to join an earlier tour.
