Eating in Florence and Rome :)

I like to fly by the seat of my pants, get lost in a neighborhood, and poke around to find a place where the locals go. You will know a good place by how crowded it is and if there is a line to get in. A good starting point is to ask your hotel. However, sometimes they get a kick-back for recommendations and so again, check the crowds.

I lived in Florence for 4 months and never had a bad meal! However, my favorite place was Pizzeria Nerone on Via Faenza. Everything there is excellent and well priced. Grom is the best gelato place in Florence in my opinion. And San Crispino is a great gelato place in Rome!
