Anyone taken this recently? I didn't see very many current reviews in my search on here. If we choose the 6:30 (mid July) will it be too dark to see much by the end (it says 4 hour tour)? Thanks!
I'd contact the company and ask for more details about the itinerary. My guess is that by the last hour you'll be spending more time inside that out walking about, but of course, they're all different.

I would contact them but sunset is about 8:45
We recently did the am tour and as I understand it the pm tour stops are same/similar
Our 2nd to last stop was about 30/45 min indoors then last stop was gelato at a shop just across the bridge
Be sure to search forum for a discount code
I am apparently not allowed to post it
We did this in March 2018, so got dark much sooner for us than it will for you. It was still lovely and you could see quite a bit. Highly recommend this food tour, it was outstanding.
I also did that tour in March, but in 2017. It never occurred to me to worry about darkness, the streets were lit, things were open, and there were lots of people out and about. One of my favorite food tours!
Highly recommended. We did it in May 2018. It was dark when we finished, but plenty of bars, restaurants, merchants etc were still open. I wouldn't worry about the dark, but I would want to have Google maps on my phone so I could get back to my hotel. Those streets can get confusing.
I just booked this for our trip, somewhat last minute but it sounds amazing! I can report back after July 11th!
We did the tour in October and it was dark when we started! It was a wonderful tour and we really enjoyed the variety of foods. Trastevere was such a nice area to walk around at night and we visited so many places that we would never have found on our own. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and very entertaining! Would definitely recommend the tour!
My wife and I took this exact tour just 2 and a half weeks ago, Lucca was our guide. We visited six stops and enjoyed it very much.
It didn't get dark until about 3/4 of the way through the walking tour. Our guide gave a lot of information about the area and the food we that we ate. It was clearly a bustling neighborhood, with lots of people out everywhere.
We recommend the tour.

We just did this tour last month on June 5 and loved it. Trastevere, where we stayed in an airbnb, comes alive in the evenings. There were outdoor movie screenings in a park near our street (Via Natale del Grande), popup restaurants and bars along the river, musicians, street performers and young people and families hanging out piazzas. The last visit on the tour, at about 9:30, was to an incredible, popular gelato place (one of our two favorites in Rome -- the other also is in Trastevere), and while it was a bit dark on our walk to and from there, this was not an issue at all -- it's like walking in Greenwich Village in NYC at night. Vibrant, lively, wonderful, and maybe dimly lit on some streets. Rish was our guide, and he was engaging, friendly and informative. Feel free to ask any questions, or search on TA and Yelp to read reviews.
We did the tour in April 2017 and very much enjoyed it!
Honestly, you want it after dark! I have not done the tour but have spent several evenings walking Trastevere and it’s beautifully lit. It’s nice during the daylight but much more charming after dark. By 10:30 it will be dark but lively.
