I'm flying Easy Jet from Naples to Palermo and it looks like my carry-on is about 1/2" to 3/4" longer than the specifications. Has anyone had experience with this airline? Can I squeek through or should I pay to send it to baggage? Thanks,M
We have used easyJet and each piece of carry on luggage was checked. We were under so we had no concern. If you bag is flexible and not a rigid rolling bag you can probably get by but the downside risk is more expensive. What type of bag so you have?

I flew Easy Jet in 2017 from Prague to Amsterdam, and found out the hard way about this. Easy Jet is unforgiving on baggage carry on requirements. If you are over, PAY IN ADVANCE, or else good chance you will be paying almost double for that bag at the gate like I did. Good airline from my one and only experience, but next time I will know better.

They do check everything. Better to use a bigger bag and pay since you will pay for your 1/2" too large bag anyhow.
EasyJet is my default airline within Europe, so my bag complies with their size requirements.
They seem to be getting more rigid about bags complying, particularly as most of their flights are full and there is a limit to how much hand luggage they can fit in the overhead bins. The last twice I have flown with them, they have insisted that my small handbag fits into my suitcase. I have seen some people struggle, as their suitcase is full to overflowing and they have had to sit on them to get them refastened!
They don’t always measure the bags, but this does happen. If your bag is measured and it’s too large, then it will cost more to check it in at the gate than by booking ahead of your flight.
Ours were not measured/checked on a flight from Barcelona to Geneva last summer. Of course your experience may vary.
