Has anyone done any hikes on Capri? I will be visiting in July and I read that the hikes are wonderful and a good way of avoiding the crowds. I will be taking a boat trip in the morning around the island and then the chairlift ride up.

A nice hike on Capri is the walk up to the Villa Jovis - the remains of the residence of the Emperor Tiberius. It's not very strenuous, the views along the way are great, and it's a very interesting place to visit. An unexpected bonus when we did it a few years ago was that there was a gelato shop along the way. It was a welcome stop on a hot day.
