I'm planning an 16 night trip in Italy for our family of 4 (two teen daughters) from March 14 - 30, 2008. After 3 nights in Venice, we train to Florence for 3 nights, then rent a car for 4 nights near Pienza. I'd like to then train on Easter Monday to Sorrento for 3 nights and Rome for the final 3. Should I take a night from Sorrento to add it to Pienza, for an easier Tuesday March 25th get-away or just brave the holiday crowds for the travel day?
