I was pleasantly surprised the week before Easter, 2018, to find Easter markets in Prague and surrounding areas. I had heard of Xmas markets, but not Easter Markets.
Next year I will be in Venice the week before Easter, 2019. Will I be pleasantly surprised by Easter markets in Venice ? I haven't found any such info in my research thus far.

We have spent three Easters in Italy, although not in Venice. We have spent time during this period in Trapani, Sorrento, and Lucca. There were no Easter markets in any of those places to my knowledge. The Holy Thursday and Good Friday processions are the highlights in both Trapani and Sorrento during Holy week. The local shops were filled with Easter pastries and candy, though.
