Easter in Sorrento

Hey guys!

I'm spending 4 days in Sorrento, arriving March 31, leaving April 4.

I'm planning two day-trips: one for Capri and one for the Amalfi Coast (Positano, Fiordo di Furore, Amalfi and Ravello). And then 2 days just to Sorrento. Too much in Sorrento? Add one more day to the Amalfi Coast?

Are there ferries from Sorrento around the Amalfi Coast during Easter? And the restaurants, places in general are open in the holidays?

How about Easter events, u guys know any?

Grazie mille!

Hi,

I was in Sorrento the week before Easter last year and had a similar (maybe the exact?) itinerary. And I thought 4 days was perfect. Our days in Sorrento were bookended by 1 day trip to Capri (Gianni's Boat) and 1 trip down the Coast (we used Positano Car Service to take us to Positano, Amalfi, Ravello). It was cool, but very warm in the sun and there were people actually swimming by the Marina Piccola in Capri. Our Sorrento days (unlike the rest of Italy) were not planned out, so we were able to take it slow here without an itinerary...we explored the marina's, hiked, shopped and ate.

Easter is the start of the "season" and everything is open! I'm sorry I can't remember the restaurants we went to (except the one I didn't like--Taverna Allegra). Unfortunately, you will have just missed Sorrento's Easter Processions that take place a few days leading up to the holiday. They were amazing (sorry!)
Overall, it is a good time to visit the area. No sunning or swimming (for most!) but good "wandering" weather.
Have a wonderful trip!
