Easter in Rome

I'll be spending Easter Sunday in Rome, and I need some advice about what to do. I'm sure the whole city will be crazy. Is there anyplace I could go to a service? Will anything be open? Should I really just run away to the hills somewhere for Easter?

The Coliseum, Forum & Palatine will be open Easter Sunday & Monday. The Pantheon will be open until 1p. Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and countless other piazzas will be open.

Lindsay,

In terms of going to a service--all churches have mass times posted outside their doors and you should be welcome at any church (except for Vatican/St. John Lateran which may require special tickets) as long as you follow dress requirements.
