Without meaning to we're going to be in Rome Easter Sunday. (Flying there at the end of Rick's Greece trip). Any tips for surviving the crowds? I'm not Catholic but if we wanted to see St. Peters at Easter, is it doable?
Recommendations for going there or avoiding it would be welcome!
I don’t think you can avoid the crowds in Rome at Easter, but I’m confident you will survive. I have friends and relatives living in Rome who have survived Easter in the city for decades. You might even enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. Seize that day as we are not granted too many to live.
Easter is big, as it should be. At Easter, the Resurrection is celebrated, and for Christians, this is a BIG THING. Enjoy it..
How many days will you be there? That will impact the strategy for avoiding/embracing the crowds.
