Easter in Italy

Finally booking my trip the week of Easter...I know I am late! I have two teenagers. Thinking Rome, Amalfi coast and Venice. Only have 8 full days. Enough time for all 3, or do we x one out? Also, being Easter, do we avoid Rome for the Easter weekend and head there after, or since we are Catholic, will we enjoy the religious part of the blessed holiday weekend? Or will it be too crowded and try to go to the Papal mass on Wednesday later in the week? Will the weather be too chilly to really enjoy the Amalfi coast? (First week of April). Thank you for any advice!

Not enough time for 3 locations. Do the Amalfi Coast and Rome.

Arrive Rome head to AC. Spend 4 nights the back to Rome for the remaining 4. This will give you your easiest transfer back to the airport.

Average temps in both locals will be low 60s-low 70s.

Easter is April 1st. Last year the marathon was April 2nd and we had much cooler weather than 60s and 70s. Same story several years ago on for my birthday April 3rd. Rain and highs in 50s that year. Be flexible with your weather expectations for Rome.

Yes the Papal Mass is crowded. This morning I attended the 10:00 AM Papal Mass celebrating World Day of Migrants and Refugees, I had an orange ticket, and arriving at St. Peter's Basilica at 8 AM was too late. Lines must have started forming at 6 or 7 AM, or maybe earlier. My seat was OK, but I could have done so much better. Know that St. Peter's Basilica is built for crowds and there is so much Control outside and inside the Church that the individual is not that affected by the crowds.
These websites, vatican.va and papalaudience.org have schedules and information.

Rome is crowded All the Time, there's Always Something going on in this Holy City. If you let the crowds stop you, you won't do anything here, and what's the point of that?
