Does anyone have experience travelling by train in southern italy flying home easter weekend from Italy. Are the trains and airports notably busier. Thanks

We were in Italy the week of Easter and traveled by train through Rome on Easter to Padua. We had booked our non-regional tickets in advance. I don’t think the train was full, but we ran as our connecting train was delayed. Traveled in and out of Naples Friday and Saturday, trains were full but I think that is pretty normal.
I don’t think it was any more busy than usual. My understanding is most Italian families spend Easter together. Monday can have lot’s of closures, or so I have been told.
