Hi everyone,
My friends and I are going to be in Venice on Easter Monday this year (April 2). Should we be worried about restaurants and many shops being closed? We checked, and Doge's Palace should be open still. We're mostly just concerned about getting something to eat that day! (Side note: there is no other day we will be able to go to Venice during our trip)

Shops? Maybe. Restaurants? Never. A large number are owned by non-Italians, and Venice has always been a city of commerce.
