Easter 2012

My family of four are planning on a trip to Rome. We plan on staying for 12 days. We are planning on attending Easter Mass at St. Peter's Square and have already contacted the Bishops Office for U.S. Visitors Office to the Vatican for tickets. We plan on "hopefully" going to The Colosseum, take a day trip to Naples, and walk around Rome. Is this reasonable to go on a few side trips? We have never been to Rome and wonder what may be closed and if they city will close early due to easter time. thank you

My friend just spent Easter week in Rome and they were able to attend the Pope's mass at the Colosseum on Good Friday. Just another option for you to think about!
