We will be leaving Rome for Tuscany on a Wednesday morning. Where is the easiest place for us to rent a car before leaving the city, taking into account our hotel location (near the Pantheon) and that we prefer an easy exit from Rome?

We used a pick upon the Via Venetian on a Sunday morning which worked well for getting out of Rome.

What is your destination in Tuscany? It would be easy to do the airport, but depending on where you are headed you can get a better suggestion.

Wiki so you mean Via Veneto? Some ZTL issues around there.
Termini station is an easy-enough location to rent at and get out of town.

Take a train to Orvieto and pick up your car there. This gets you out of the Rome traffic.
