Early May Hike through the Cinque Terre

I've planned a first of May solo trip and thought I'd ask some experts if it sounds like a good plan. Fly in Genoa train to Camogli, The next day hike to Portofino and take a boat back... then head to Monterosso. Spend two days there beaching, hiking, eating, exploring. Then move to Riomaggiore for a couple of days. Maybe take boat tour, day trip to Pisa then train back to Genoa to wrap it up.

Good plan?

I'd love some names of places to eat. Any locals you know that might like to break bread with a traveler. Must dos. Places to stay.
Very excited about the trip.

For Portofino peninsula hike planning, look at this website: https://portofinotrek.com/en/
For the boat from Portofino back to Camogli, while enjoyable, you need to change ferry companies at San Fruttuoso. Instead I suggest after seeing Portofino, you take the lovely walk along the shore to enjoy Santa Margherita and then take the train (or bus) back to Camogli.

Not sure why you would go through the hassle of packing up and moving from Monterosso to Riomaggiore when it's only a few minutes away by train. But I'm lazy that way.

I agree with the previous reply.... pick one town in the Cinque Terre and use that as your home base for your entire stay there. Everyone has a preference and I prefer Monterosso. It's the largest of the five, has the best beaches and the greatest number of hotels, restaurants and other tourist amenities.

Monterosso has two parts, and old town and a new town. I really like dining at Cantina di Miky in the new town, but have dined at several other restaurants. They've all been good.
