I have an early flight (06:45 arghh) to leave Rome. Where would you all recommend staying to make getting to airport easiest? I'll be taking a taxi to get there...Also..any recommendations on great places to stay in Rome. I'm traveling with a friend and our budget is about 80 Euro/night!

We stayed our last night in Rome and used Roma shttle (Romashuttle.com) to take us to the airport at 4:30 AM. They were on time and cost us 48E for 4 with luggage. I found airport hotels to be more expensive than where we were staying in Rome. And we got to have a great last dinner in Rome instead of at the airport hotel.

Stay in Rome your last night as usual and take a taxi to the airport. About 45 Euro.

We have taken the Rome airport shuttle every trip to Rome. They are excellent. I book it on the internet before we leave home (Bracebridge, Ontario).
We are two women and love The Beehive which is a five minute walk from Termini, run by an American couple, Rick Steves suggested. It is a very upscale hostel with a dorm room for 8 ( I think about 25 Euros each) or a dbl room for about 80 euros. Take the dorm it is great fun. Met great people. They have a veggie restaurant/deli in their lower level. The shuttle picked us up from there is the wee hours as well.
