Duomo questions

I will be traveling to Florence this May and have found two conflicting statements about using the Firenze card and skipping the line to enter the Duomo itself (not to climb the dome)
In one part of the website it says "Entering the duomo and climbing the Campanile (belltower) is not available by reservation, but you can skip the lines at both with a Firenze Card —"
In another it says "The Firenze Card does not let you skip the line for the Duomo dome climb – you must make a reservation for that – nor does it let you skip the line to enter the (free) Duomo

So I'm a bit confused and wondering if someone knows the answer to this.

I'm thinking maybe this means I can skip the ticket line, but not the line for entry? Is that correct?

Thank you!

It is correct. But you can skip the line if you want to enter the duomo tower(campanile)
And to climb the duomo itself, it's not part of the firenze card, must be done ahead.

Don’t miss the Duomo museum. Was absolutely no line to get in when we visited in May. Excellent museum with the original baptistry doors

As far as I've ever known, the Firenzecard doesn't allow you to skip the line for the main body of the cathedral itself. As the church is free, there is no ticket or Firenzecard "priority access" line for that one.
