we will be in Milan mid May 2008 and was wondering if anyone knows if the renovations are expected to be finished at this time on the duomo museum

I was at the Duomo last week and the museum was closed. Don't know if it will be open by May. The Duomo doesn't have a website so there no reliable way to figure it out. Everything else was open including the roof.

I'm pretty sure the museum was under renovation when I was there in May 2006. Don't hold your breath. But enjoy the interior of the church and it's well worth the $$ to take the elevator or stairs to the roof for a spectacular view and close up of the ornate designs on the duomo. in typical italian style, they dont really know when it will open. Visited on 15/03/08 and it was closed.
