Hi Everyone

Hi Everyone

Yes, currently they're only available for purchase abt. 3 months out. The last "Valid from" date showing on the "Buy" calendar for the Brunelleschi Pass is Feb. 29th. That means if you buy a pass for the 29th, the 3-day validity clock starts ticking on the 29th. You also have to choose your reserved time on the 29th to climb the dome at time of purchase.
"The monuments included in Brunelleschi Pass can be visited within 3 calendar days from the date selected without time constraints. The validity starts from the date selected for the visit to the Dome."
Make sense?
You are trying to buy passes way too many months in advance. :O)
We were there in busy October and had no problem getting our passes a couple of days ahead of time.
Suzy, did you buy Brunelleschi passes; the one that includes the climb of the dome? I've read cautions that, during high season, those can sell out several weeks in advance as the number of people the stairways can accommodate for each time slot is limited. That said, I haven't seen recent, first-hand reports to confirm.
Thanks for the help! I will set my calendar in advance to buy the Duomo tix. I appreciate the feedback.
Hello everybody, quick question we are putting together some things for Rome Florence Siena trip for Christmas and does anybody know if the giotto pass and brunelesschi pass has skip the line tickets? Any guidance would be appreciated
The Brunelleschi and Giotto passes allow you to "skip the line" for the other sites included in the pass within 3 days. However, you must pick a time to enter either the Dome or the Tower and do that first. That validates the pass for the other sites. We purchased the Giotto Pass, climbed the Tower at our designated time (they don't let people in early!) and then went into the Duomo. After that, we took a cappuccino and cake break and then went to the Duomo Museum. We didn't go to the Baptistery until the next day.
@Reederman, you mentioned "The Brunelleschi and Giotto passes allow you to "skip the line" for the other sites included in the pass within 3 days." Can you help me with a few questions I have?
1. If I have the Brunelleschi Pass, I would enter the dome at my designated time. For the bell tower though, I can enter at any time I wish, but can I skip the line for the bell tower? Is there even a line for the bell tower?
2. What monuments have long lines? Is it only the cathedral that has long lines because it is free?
3. Do the other sites have long lines? If there are long lines at other sites, then it's confusing to me because one would need the Brunelleschi or Giotto (or Ghiberti) pass to enter those sites. And if those passes are all skip the line, then why is there a line? Who is waiting in the line that doesn't have a "skip the line" pass?
4. Is the dome open year round? The reason I ask is because the official website states, "Brunelleschi Pass first availability: 14 May". At first, I interpreted this to mean the first time the Brunelleschi Pass is available for the 2024 season is 14 May. But upon further thought, maybe this means all the days from now until 13 May are sold out, and the closest day that has availability is 14 May. I will be in Florence May 5-9, so it looks like I can't get the Brunelleschi Pass. I still want to climb the dome though, so I may try booking through a tour website. Have others tried using third party vendors to get tickets to the dome?
Thank you for any responses!
