Duomo Combo purchase

Went to the sight per Rick Steve's suggestion: https://www.museumflorence.com/
So the "cumulative ticket," according to web site, is 18 euro and includes the 6 sights over a 72 hour period? Correct?

More questions.

1) We want to walk the dome. Web site says to reserve. Where do I reserve. Couldn't find on site?

2) Does Rick Steve have self touring app to guide the Dome?

3) So according to the web site, for just 2 euro more you can take a tour?

4) If we take a tour, again where do we reserve to climb the dome. (And yes, we are in excellent health to climb).

As I recall, there are machines in the ticket office outside the Baptistry (across from Duomo) where you can make same-day reservations for the dome walk.
We didn't do the dome, but we DID buy the less-expensive ticket with Museum and Baptistry -- superb !!

It's actually 5 sites as the duomo itself is free: you'll need to stand in line for that one. Your 72 hours start with the first entry to any of the 5. You are also required to make a pre-reservation to climb the dome. If all slots are filled when you buy your ticket and try to make that reservation, then it's a no-go. For people purchasing today, the site says the soonest available slots are on July 6th.

More questions. #1 We want to walk the dome. Web site says to reserve.

You do that on the website right after you buy your cumulative tickets. You will use a barcode provided to you at time of purchase. Follow the directions:

I've no firsthand info on tours offered through the website but it looks like you must send a request for information:

If we take a tour, again where do we reserve to climb the dome.

Ask when you inquire about a tour if no one on the forums knows if it's a different procedure than when you purchase tickets. Whatever the case, I would not wait to try and do this until you get to Florence lest there be no openings left.

Laura, where did you purchase that ticket and how long ago? The Duomo's website doesn't offer that option and I haven't seen it offered anywhere on the net so I'm curious.

@Kathy, we bought tickets at the office across from the Baptistry when we were in Florence in May 2017 -- was great because I don't do "climbs"

Thanks for that info Laura. Odd that the Duomo's site doesn't mention that option and wonder if it's still available or been discontinued. Yup, I'm pretty much done with most long, interior "climbs" too. Can do them but don't enjoy them when tightly confined and crowded.
