April 1st is a Monday and it looks like the Uffizi Gallery is closed on Mondays.

Thanks for reply. I know about Monday closings. But there are no dates in all of April that appear available

When I go on the official website for tickets, it looks like April has tickets. I went on https://webshop.b-ticket.com and put filters for Uffizi and April dates and it looks like everything is available. When you click on tickets, it opens up and shows most times available ... at least for the couple days of April I checked. We went to Italy in November and I found buying tickets difficult to figure out sometimes. The travel forum really helped me with my planning! I hope I was able to help you! If not, use the search feature - You will find out so much from the contributors.

The duomo - the cathedral - itself is free so no tickets are required but the dome and other parts of the complex are not. The baptistry is wonderful, IMHO more impressive than the interior of the church, so I wouldn't miss it. The museum (which was closed last we were in Florence) is reported to be excellent and well worth a visit.

Pre-reservations are mandatory for a specific time/day to climb the dome. If you order the cumulative ticket from the website, you can make that reservation at the same time you buy your ticket(s). After you've made the purchase, you'll be provided a code which will be used to book your time slot: Look for the text "Have you already purchased the Cumulative Ticket? Book your entrance to the monuments!" in the lower right of the ordering page. Clicking on it will take you to the page you need for making your reservation.

Advance tickets are currently only available through the end of Feb.

Like Joyce, I'm seeing tickets available for April. Click on the text "Galleria degli Uffizi" under "Events" and choose an April date from the calendar.
