We are planning a trip to Sicily in September 2025 but are concerned about the lack of water due to the severe drought that has occurred over the past few years. We hear that many hotels, restaurants and just about every type of business is impacted in a serious way with a lack of water. Any advice, comments or observations?

At the moment Sicily is under a state of alert due to torrential rain and destructive floods. So right now the lack of water is the last of their concerns. How the situation will be in September only God (if there is one), will know.

We'll be visiting Sicily in mid-April and have a gastronomic tour on the slopes of Etna planned. Hope the roads aren't washed out...
