Dropping off rental car before entering Rome

I read a number of post suggesting dropping a rental car off at the Rome airport or train station before entering inner city Rome, but I had the idea of dropping my rental off in Frosinone and then taking the train into Rome. I'm renting from Europcar and they have an office 5 minutes from the train station in Frosinone. From there it's an hour train ride into Rome. Does anyone know if this is a good or bad idea.

I think any time you can avoid driving in a large European city it is a good thing! Others may say it is no big deal but why subject yourself to the stress?
