Drop-off laundry in Rome or Florence?

Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced drop-off laundry service in Rome or Florence? I'm not talking about dry cleaning, and I don't need any clothes pressed - just washed, dried and folded. Thanks!

Julia,

It would help to know which area in each city you'll be staying?

My suggestion would be to wait until you arrive and ask the staff at the Hotel. They're usually the best source of information on local Laundry facilities.

Are you interested only in laundry services, or also self-service Laundromats?

I actually posted this same question awhile ago for Rome and the best reply I got was to contact my hotel which is what I did and they were able to direct me. Actually my trip's in October so I'm just getting ready.

Hi Ken and Claudette! I am looking for drop-off service. It's not that I'm too good to do my own laundry, I just won't be in Italy long, and don't want to waste a minute of sightseeing time! :) Thanks for the advice about the hotel!

There is a laundry on Via dei Neri that does wash and fold. It isn't cheap!

You may have to scroll around to see the place - the map seems to center when it loads on the page here...

The laundries are everywhere. Asking the hotel is the best advice. We normally stay in the Termini area and there two near the train station and one across the street from Hotel Contilla.

Be sure to ask specifically about folding, or you may end up with your dry clothes crammed back into the bag you used to drop them. Voice of experience here.
