We unknowingly booked a flight into FCO (arriving 19:00) on the Saturday of the Easter Weekend. We have decided to rent a car (we have a GPS) and either drive to Orvieto or remain in a hotel near the airport for the night and depart early in the am. (Will see Rome on the way back.) How hectic can I expect it to be driving out of this airport on Easter weekend? Should we stay somewhere in Fiumucino for the night and drive early Easter Sunday? We are arriving from a 2 night stay in Amsterdam so should not be jet-lagged. Have driven out of Paris airport with rental in the past. What can I expect???
