Hi all
We are planning to drive in Italy for this first time next summer and was wondering if anyone has driven the roads between Matera and Tropea. Are they easily manageable. Thought that not being major city the roads would not be heavily used. Any comments appreciated.

It’s a pretty wide two lane highway to Metaponto. Not particularly curvy so it’s fast. After Metaponto it’s largely a 4 lane freeway, so if you have ever driven in a U.S. Interstate freeway, that is pretty much the type of road you will be driving in. No toll freeways down there, so they are free. Traffic is very limited in that region.
