Hi,
I know this is probably an obscure question since this is such a small town and all but do you know if Barga has the ZTLs, ZLTs, whatever it is called? :) We are staying at the Renaissance Il Ciocco which is minutes from the town. Yet my wife Sherry has some issues breathing and walking and me, I'm just a fat old Italian! Do you know if we can drive into the town to the top? Thanks, Mike & Sherry

You may have an uphill battle because Barga is a hilltown. Aside from its crowning glory, the Duomo, most of the medieval centre is very steep and IIRC, only pedestrian. The 'modern' part of the town is flatter but that's
no what you've come to see, right?

Yes. The Barga historical center has a ZTL, I read it is now patrolled by cameras. There is some uphill walking to get to the cathedral.
